January Goals || 2019

jan 2018 bullet journal january goals

Hola, everyone! We’re over a week into the new year and I thought it was about time that I shared my January goals. I’ve never been a monthly goal setter to be honest but it’s something that I think I’m going to benefit from. I kind of just hope that I’ll do things in the month and they don’t happen. Either because there’s nothing really pushing me to do those things or because I forget. Since I started to use my bullet journal though I’m trying to get my life just a little more organised. I’m hoping it’s going to help me make more time for myself between uni work and give my mental health a chance to get better. I’ve got about four goals that I want to achieve this month. Some of them are changes that I think might improve my life and some of them are general self care things where I hope I’ll take more time for myself.

I’m determined to get through two books this month. With my exams starting tomorrow, I really do get tunnel vision and focus on revising and getting through the exam season. So, I thought giving myself an aim of finishing two books will make me take some time out to unwind and relax in the evening.

I used to yoga a fair bit last summer and it was really relaxing for me. It was get for some exercise as well as doing wonders for my depression. But uni started and I just didn’t make time for it. There’s no real excuse here, I could have found the time but I just chose not to. So, I’m going to try and get into the habit of doing a yoga session at home once a week. If I can do a few more times in the week then that’s great. But I just want to try and build myself up to doing it more regularly.

I’ve made a more general goal with the next one and that’s just to try and practice some more self care. In whatever form that I end up being able to manage. Whether it’s running a bath for myself, treating myself to a relaxing night or whatever it is. Just making sure that I do find little bits that are just for me. Something where my sole focus is my own wellbeing.

I’m going to try and get things sorted a little more ahead of time so I’m not panicking when deadlines approach. So, one of the things that I really want to do is try and sort out all of my Age Exchange activities for February. I do some volunteer work within the uni and I organise the activities for one of the projects. So, I want to make sure that I’ve done all of my paperwork and all of my resources are ready.

So, those are my four goals for this month and I guess we’ll just wait and see how they end up going. I’ll update you guys on them when I post my February ones.
