Looking Back At: August 2017

August has been a month that has been packed full of different things for me and I’ve been loving it! So here’s what’s been going on!

Pride & Prejudice

Oystermouth Castle has a theatre group do an open air play of Pride and Prejudice which I went to with my mam, sister, my friend, Ffion and her mum. It was absolutely amazing! I love Pride and Prejudice so much and the play was great. Sadly, the weather wasn’t what we were hoping for. It was raining was for the majority of the play and I was freezing but it was worth it.

Lush Swansea

The Lush Swansea opening event was something else that happened this August which I loved! Our store has oved from a much smaller shop on Whitewalls to a shop about twice the size on Oxford Street and I was invited to take a look at what the new store had to offer. It was my first ever blogging event so I was slightly nervous. In the end it was an amazing night and I’m so glad I went. You can read more about the event over here if you want!

What was probably the biggest thing this month is that I managed to get my place for my first choice university. In September I will be off to start a BEng in Medical Engineering and I could not be more excited. After getting AABC, I’m going off to my dream university to study a course that I’m in love with. I have a whole post on results day here if you want to take a look.

I left my part time job this month. I made the decision that I needed to have some time to myself on the weekend so I can relax and spend time with family. As much as I loved the place I worked, I know I struggled getting through A Levels whilst working. It was a lot to cope with. I hated leaving but I am looking forward to having my weekends back. It was slightly upsetting to leave but I know that it was the right decision for me to make.

For my sister’s birthday, I got get ticket to watch Hairspray since they’re on UK tour at the moment and were heading to Cardiff Millennium Centre. So, I went with my sister and my mam. The show was absolutely amazing! The cast, costumes and orchestra pit completely blew me away. I’ve watched the film so I knew that the musical would be pretty upbeat but I didn’t know the full extent of it until I sat there watching it live. It took my breath away completely!

So, that’s pretty much been my August and it was an amazing month! I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Here’s hoping that September will be just as good.
